I want to express my deepest gratitude for the trust and support each of you has given to u-ONE Wealth Management over the years. It has been an absolute privilege to lead this exceptional company, and I’m proud of the relationships we’ve built together. Your continued support has been the cornerstone of our success, and I am excited to see how u-ONE continues to thrive.

As I transition into my new role as Chief Financial & Compliance Officer, my focus will be to ensure that we continue enhancing our financial strategies and solutions to help our clients achieve their goals. I will oversee u-ONE’s Financial Operations, Risk Management initiatives, and ensure that we maintain the integrity and accountability that have always defined our company. This role will be crucial in supporting our broader vision and long-term strategic goals.

I would like to offer my heartfelt congratulations to Melissa as she steps into the role of CEO. I have the utmost confidence in her leadership, and I fully support her in this exciting new chapter for u-ONE. With Melissa at the helm, I am certain the company will continue to excel and evolve, bringing even greater value to our clients and partners.

Reflecting on my tenure as CEO from 2018 to the end of 2024, I am proud of the notable milestones we’ve achieved together:

Investment Growth: Our clients saw a remarkable gain of over $2 million in 2024, bringing our total assets under management (AUM) to $13 million. This success is a testament to the hard work of our team and the trust of our clients.
Client Base and Tax Preparation: We grew our client base to over 5,000 across Canada, assisting 500+ families with tax preparation, resulting in more than $100,000 in CRA tax refunds.
Retirement and Savings Contributions: In the first 48 days of 2024, we surpassed $500,000 in new RRSP/FHSA contributions—a true reflection of our clients’ trust in us.
Tax Refunds: Our Tax Preparation and Bookkeeping team helped clients secure $601,200 in tax refunds in 2023 alone.
Debt Reduction: Over the last four years, we’ve helped families reduce, eliminate, or pay down a total of $2.6 million in consumer debt—a direct result of collaboration and dedication from our team.
Pandemic Response: During the uncertainty of the pandemic, we introduced remote-based and flexible financial literacy discussions and planning sessions, supporting our clients through one of the most daunting economic and emotional periods in recent history.

I am happy and proud of the work we’ve done together, and it has been incredibly fulfilling to see the positive impact we’ve made in the lives of our clients.

January 8, 2025 – u-ONE Wealth Management Corp. Ltd. is pleased and excited to announce the appointment of Melissa Pasahol as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2025. Melissa becomes the second CEO to lead u-ONE's Canadian operations, marking a significant milestone for the organization.

In her new role, she will oversee u-ONE's wealth and client management strategies, focusing on empowering clients through efficient financial solutions and advancing the team’s advocacy for financial literacy. She will also lead the team’s expansion into key provinces across Canada, reflecting u-ONE’s commitment to evolving market demands and the dynamic financial landscape.

Melissa succeeds Alvin Fernandez, u-ONE’s long-standing CEO, who will transition to Chief Financial and Compliance Officer.

A co-founder of u-ONE Wealth Management in 2018, Melissa most recently served as Sales Director. She brings extensive experience as a Financial Security Advisor and Registered Wealth Manager and has led initiatives to enhance client services and introduce innovative financial solutions, particularly serving clients and partners in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
